"New York is my home. Within it, I am surrounded by inspiration. Even though I don't adhere to a strict subject matter, I try to capture the layers of the city within the layers of my paints. This sometimes means layering color over color softly or taking a more modern approach by laying the paint down thickly. I use symbols in my work to express the way I am feeling, but hopefully these symbols can mean something totally different, but be just as powerful, to somebody else."
